Where there’s fire, there’s smoke. And like war…what is it good for? Absolutely nuthin’!
Last week, we looked at a perfect water lily. This week, we see daisies and phlox—lovely enough, but also suffering from a lack of sun and clean air. Why? As predicted, the wildfires burning up north have sent their smoke southbound throughout MN. We are breaking Air Quality Index Records, and to be blunt, breathing is literally bad for you. It even smells terrible.
Nature is fickle. Humans—moreso. We made this mess, and now we can’t safely go outside on a priceless summer day. It’s dreadful, dystopian, and sad. But as they say (and I usually have no idea what they mean): Stay safe.
And keep the faith.
